Fair amount of regulars out on both sides, not that you can tell on the A's. Minnesota's Sonny Gray has a 2.69 home ERA and it frankly would be a surprise if the A's score more than 1-2 off him. Oakland's Luis "Funky Cold" Medina isn't very good, but the Twins batters may be up there half-heartedly with nothing to play for. It's a bit cool and wins are blowing in some. Half unit.

The Twins play their last regular-season home game of 2023 in Target Field here and it's a matchup that heavily favors them. Sonny Gray gets the ball in his last start that lines him up perfectly for Game 1 of the Wild Card Series. He's been outstanding this season and will have no trouble slicing through the hapless A's lineup, nor will the power arms in the Twins' bullpen. A's starter Luis Medina has a 6.60 ERA on the road and there's an awful bullpen behind him. A multi-run Twins win is the most likely outcome here, so the run line (-1.5, -120) is the play.
