These two teams combined to score 12 runs Friday. It was a good pitching matchup with Framber Valdez facing off against Cole Ragans. The same can’t be said for Saturday’s game. The Astros will start J.P. France, who gave up five runs over 4 1/3 innings in his last start against the Royals. That marked the third time over his last five starts that he allowed at least five runs. The Royals had yet to even name their starter as of early Saturday afternoon. Whoever it is will be an underwhelming option since Ragans has been their only starter pitching well. Look for both teams to score plenty of runs.
