The Yankees have lost seven games in a row and were blown out in a Gerrit Cole start on Saturday. They've been outscored 34-7 in their last five games. The offense is pitiful. None of this is the worst thing you can say about them, though. The worst thing to say would be that they appear to have quit on the season. The Red Sox haven't and have won seven of their last 10. At just about even money, give me the team that still cares.
The Yankees have lost seven consecutive games and are on the verge of being swept by the Red Sox in New York. Even Gerrit Cole on the mound yesterday was not enough to will the Yankees to a victory. New York's bat have really struggled generating runs but I expect them to come out aggressive as they face a combination of Josh Winckowski and Nick Pivetta. Winchowski is expected to draw the start and Pivetta will likely spell him and pitch the bulk of the innings. New York is reeling but look for them to snap their skid and avoid getting swept by their arch nemesis.
