Wanting to give Nathan Eovaldi some extra rest, the Rangers have decided to skip his turn through the starting rotation. With that being the case, Yerry Rodriguez will serve as the opener for their bullpen game Tuesday. That could be troublesome after their bullpen covered 3 1/3 innings in Monday’s loss. The Astros should be in much better shape with J.P. France on the mound. He has logged at least six innings in eight of his last nine starts and should benefit from Corey Seager (thumb) being out. Look for the Astros to gain another game on the Rangers in the AL West standings with a win here.
