It's been a disappointing season for the Padres but you couldn't ask for a better spot on paper than this. Blake Snell will be on the mound and the southpaw has been absolutely brilliant surrendering only 5 ER over his last 11 starts (63 IP), good for an ERA of just 0.71. Snell has shut down the Pirates over his career allowing just five hits over 43 at bats. The Padres will face 43 year old lefty Rich Hill who has an ERA over 7.00 over his last five starts and gave up 9 hits and 4 ER in an outing against San Diego earlier this season. I like San Diego to get the win at home.
