The wheels have come off for Graham Ashcraft. He has allowed at least seven runs in three of his last four starts, increasing his ERA to 5.57 for the season. His WHIP is a concern at 1.48, and that comes on the heels of his 1.42 WHIP last season. The Cubs will start Drew Smyly, who has allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last nine starts. Given their significant starting pitching advantage, I’m on the Cubs to come away with a win.
