I'm a little surprised the Guardians are sticking with Aaron Civale, although I can't imagine he will be given a long leash. Nestor Cortes even on three days of rest is an upgrade on Jameson Taillon for the Yankees. Cortes has an ERA under 2.00 this year at home and during the day. The rainout seems to have helped the Yanks more by allowing a few of their key bullpen guys some rest, and they should now be available. Think we may see Gerrit Cole for an inning or two if needed too.

I just think this game is much closer to a toss-up. The Yankees are at home for this game but I think that just puts even more pressure on them while the Guardians can play free with nothing to lose. As soon as you go down, the crowd can turn on you. I also think this will end up being mostly a bullpen game so I wouldn’t read too much into the starters on both sides. Bullpen games are how the Guardians thrive so I think they have a good chance to pull out this game if its close going into the bullpens.
