Bailey Ober came off the IL to make his last start and didn’t allow a run in five innings, although we can’t read too much into that. Daniel Lynch has really struggled lately, and he is my main concern here. However, the Royals bullpen has been solid in the last 30 days and the Twins are much worse on the road. Luis Arraez is out of the lineup against the lefty and the Royals are much better at home. I like the value on the Royals at home.
We told you Tuesday that the Twins were on fade alert the rest of the way and that worked out well as they lost in Kansas City. Going right back to the Royals runline well tonight at -145 as Minnesota's lineup is already out and doesn't include the AL's third-leading hitter in Luis Arraez. Jake Cave, who was 2-for-4 with a run and RBI on Tuesday, also is sitting. This is one of those where I honestly don't care about the pitching matchup as long as it's not hugely one-sided either way and with Bailey Ober vs. Daniel Lynch, it's not (I don't like either of them). Minnesota is 3-15 in its past 18 road games.
