I never thought Id be playing the Angels at -145 on the road but here we are. They do get Mike Trout back in the lineup, but they’ve also been playing well lately. They are 12-14 since the All-Star break but they are 8-5 on the road. The Tigers are 8-20 since the All-Star break and 3-9 at home. The Angels bullpen has also been much better than the Tigers lately. Patrick Sandoval gets into trouble with walks but he should have success against the free swinging Tigers.

My numbers see the Tigers winning outright at least 55% of the time Friday against the Angels, providing a massive overlay on the slight home underdog. Detroit is 5-1 in its last six home games against left-handed starters. Projected Detroit starter Matt Manning has given up just one earned run across 13 innings combined in his past two home starts. Take the value on the underdog.
