Minnesota took forever with its starting lineup -- why waited. This line moved a little after the Twins scratched pitcher Chris Archer for rookie Josh Winder but still a very manageable number on the Pale Hose, whom I think will play well/hard after frankly embarrassing themselves on the bases in Monday's extra-inning loss. Michael Kopech (2.78 ERA) hasn't been great of late but can dominate at anytime. Definitely would take him over Winder everyday of the week, and Kopech has been quite a bit better at home. The Sox are way overdue to beat the Twins as they haven't yet this year. Minnesota is 4-15 in its past 19 following a win.
Josh Winder is now starting for Chris Archer who was scratched. He pitched really well in his one start since May and pitched well against the White Sox earlier this season. However, I think if the White Sox can somehow get to him or at least get him out of the game in the 5th or 6th inning, they should be able to win it off the backend of the Twins bullpen. Michael Kopech has struggled lately but he has been much better at home overall with a 2.08 ERA and he didn’t allow a run to the Twins his first time facing them. I think this will be another close game like last night, but I don't expect a boneheaded baserunning play again to get a triple play and kill a White Sox rally. I like the White Sox at home.
