This is a reasonable price on the host Red Sox, who are 15-4 in June and send Michael Wacha to the mound. Wacha has allowed a total of four earned runs over his last four starts. Tigers starter Tarik Skubal (3.13 ERA) is a tough lefty, but Boston ranks 8th in OPS against southpaws. The Red Sox have won eight straight games versus left-handed starters, and the last four meetings with Detroit.

Tarik Skubal has been very good this season, but he has actually struggled in his past three games. It also won’t get any easier on the road against the 7th ranked team in wOBA against lefties in the league. Michael Wacha is pitching very well this season and he is 2-1 with a 1.03 ERA at home. The Red Sox have been the third best team in the league in June going 15-4 including 7-2 at home. The Tigers on the other hand are 7-12 in June and 2-5 on the road. They have won just five of their last 17 games. My only concern is the Red Sox bullpen is completely worked and Michael Wacha doesn’t usually get terribly deep in the game. They should have Austin Davis available to go multiple innings though so that should help. I like the Red Sox at home.
