The Phillies get their ace in Zach Wheeler to try to salvage this series against the Mets. The Phillies have now lost each of the first four series against the Mets, but they did manage to salvage a game in each series. I think they will do that again behind Zach Wheeler, who seems to have figured it out after a slow start to the season. He has pitched quality starts in four of his last five and he only allowed 1 ER the first time he faced the Mets. Chris Bassitt started the season very strong but he has come back to earth in his past couple starts. Take the Phillies to avoid the sweep.

The Mets already have clinched their fourth series win against the Phillies this season, so that’s out of the way. But for one game with one starter finding his way, I can back the Phillies. Former Met Zack Wheeler looks to be in the same form as last season at this juncture. The Phillies have won his last three starts and four of his last five while allowing a total of five runs. In three of the starts, he didn't five up a run. Take Philadelphia to win.
