I get it, Jordan Montgomery is way better than Dallas Keuchel at this point. But the Sox usually destroy lefties and will have Andrew Vaughn back in the lineup today. With Yoan Moncada also now back (presumably starting), it's probably their best lefty-mashing lineup of the season until Eloy Jimenez returns. The Yankees should be favored, but the runline at -115 is too good to pass up ... until Tony LaRussa does something stupid. I seriously worry about that dude's mental state. Almost seems like a signature moment for my Pale Hose after losing the first two games in routs. I am done with totals but like Over here (so it will be 1-0). Anyone going? Twitter: @jordanpaytonsn1
The Yankees have won a ridiculous 19 of their last 22 games. Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge feel like they homer every game at this point and now it looks like Josh Donaldson is heating up to join the party. They'll face washed-up lefty Dallas Keuchel and they've crushed lefties this year. The biggest problem with Yankees starter Jordan Montgomery this season has been the lack of run support, but that isn't predictable. It's a coincidence. They'll hit for him Saturday, he'll go a strong 5-6 innings and then Chad Green, Clay Holmes and Aroldis Chapman will bring it home. If it's close. It might not be. They'll win by more than a run, so we're grabbing the -1.5 run line, again, at +100.
The Yankees have been on fire lately and with two straight blowouts over the White Sox, they’ve also been able to save their best bullpen arms. The White Sox are known as being lefty crushers but they actually have the same exact wOBA against lefties as the Yankees this season. The Yankees have also been much better against lefties in the past three weeks. Dallas Keuchel should continue to struggle against a Yankees lineup that is clicking right now. Jordan Montgomery has been dominant to start the season, and he should give another solid five or six innings today. The Yankees are 19-3 in their last 22 games. The White Sox were on a winning streak before this series but they didn’t score more than 4 runs in any of their six straight wins. Take the Yankees until they cool off.
