Kinda chasing a bit as tonight's board isn't shaping out great and I'm still irked the Dodgers lost despite allowing only two hits. Getting a fairly cheap price on the Giants at home because A's starter Paul Blackburn has been excellent in the early going, but his career numbers would indicate that's a fluke. Sam Long will start for SF but just as an opener with Jakob Junis the primary. Junis threw five shutout innings last week against the Nats. Giants pitchers have the lowest HR/9.0IP ratio in the majors at 0.50 and have only yielded nine home runs, the fewest in MLB.

Sam Long is expected to be the opener today for Jake Junis who didn’t allow a run in 5 IP in his first appearance. Paul Blackburn has been pitching very well but the Giants are ranked 8th in the league against righties in wOBA. The Athletics are ranked in the bottom 5 in wOBA overall. The Giants also have the 2nd best ranked bullpen in the league while the As are ranked just 16th. It’s a little juicier than I had hoped, but I still think this should be in the -180 to -200 range.
