Domingo German (4-3, 3.27) is on the bump for the Yanks as they try to avoid the home sweep. He's 1-0 in two career home starts vs. Boston. The Sox counter with Garrett Richards (4-4, 3.75). He has a 2.70 ERA in his past seven starts but is 0-4 with a 7.43 ERA in five career starts at Yankee Stadium. For some reason, Boston doesn't much like Sundays, going 2-5 in its past seven on the day. New York has won four of its past five in Game 3 of a series. Could manager Aaron Boone be in big trouble if the Bombers are swept?

I took this same line on Saturday and lost because New York's Chad Green allowed a two-out, four-run rally by the Red Sox. Even then, the total only missed by a run. These offenses have not been great, and both are near the bottom of the league in strikeout rate and runs created over the last two weeks. With solid pitchers Domingo German of the Yankees and Boston's Garrett Richards going on Sunday, I again am taking the Under.

Over his last seven starts, New York's Domingo German has pitched 41 innings, allowing just 28 hits and seven walks for a 0.85 WHIP, and sports an ERA of 2.41. With those numbers, I have him rated 60 cents better than an average major-league pitcher. His opponent on Sunday, Garrett Richards, has actually been a little lucky this year. His ERA is 3.75, but he has a 4.53 xFIP. Richards has walked 12 batters in his last 18 ? innings. Command is definitely an issue.
