The Blue Jays, who have won 11 of 17, opened as moneyline favorites but are now underdogs so they become good value on the runline behind ace lefty Hyun-Jin Ryu (2-2, 3.31 ERA). Toronto is 5-1 in interleague games so far this season, the best record among teams with at least two IL series. Atlanta lefty Max Fried (1-1, 8.44) has disappointed thus far. While the Jays are 3-3 vs. southpaws, the Braves are 2-5 and dating to last season have lost six straight games vs. AL left-handers.

It seems to me we can expect some production from both sides. Atlanta has a potential MVP candidate in Ronald Acuna Jr. and some other contributing players who are producing a bit below expectations. So I think we can count on a few runs from their side. With the power Toronto has and the result I expect for the Blue Jays facing Max Fried, let’s play the Over on this game Wednesday.

I really like starting pitcher Hyun-jin Ryu. He’s an above-average, ground-ball pitcher who should keep the Braves from having too many scoring opportunities. On the other side, I expect the Blue Jays to get to Max Fried and should be able to score at Truist Park. Look for the Blue Jays' bullpen to lock down a win once Ryu exits. .
