This is the revenge game of all revenge games. The Yankees lost to the Rays in the ALDS last season and are 1-5 against them so far this year. New York has been playing much better recently. The Yankees are 12-5 since April 22. Luis Patino looks like he has great potential with a big-time fastball. He won't be in the game for long, though, and the Tampa Bay bullpen is beat up.

The Rays are 5-1 this season with a +16 run differential in six games against the Yankees compared to 14-16 with a -15 run differential in 30 games against all other opponents. I'm not even sure Tampa should be a home underdog overall in facing arguably the weak link in the New York rotation in lefty Jordan Montgomery (1-1, 4.41). He has faced Tampa twice this year and allowed four runs in each. The Rays go with Luis Patino (1-1, 1.17) as a pseudo-opener. He'll probably only go through the lineup once. Tampa pitching has a 2.95 ERA against the Yankees this year. We'll take the +1.5 on the runline at -145.
