Rennes have been effective in front of goal, especially on home soil. Rennes have scored three or more goals in four of their last five home fixtures. The lone outlier during that span came in their last home match against Le Havre, but they still managed 15 total shots and seven shots on target. Lorient have conceded 30 goals in league play, a perfect recipe for Over 2.5 goals.

I gave us all Lorient double chance against Monaco and spoke on how this club, regardless of the odds, continues to out perform their expectations and find points. After BEATING Monaco, they've now moved to nine matches straight without a loss across all competitions. Rennes is a solid club, but so were Strasbourg, Lyon, Toulouse and Monaco. I took over 2.5 goals in the match between Rennes and Le Havre. I spent time talking about how prolific they were in front of the goal and how good they are for goals. I then proceeded to watch their game end 1-1 as they missed big chance after big chance. Credit to Le Havre for picking up the draw, but Rennes isn't the type of team to let a game like that simmer for too long. Expect them to press heavily for goals against a Lorient team that is flying high off their 3-1 win over Monaco
