Warriors vs. Kings Game 2 NBA playoff odds, trends: Bettors huge on Golden State spread, De'Aaron Fox to score at least 28 points

The Warriors look to even their Western Conference playoff series in Sacramento on Monday.

There's no question that a very raucous Sacramento crowd watching its first Kings playoff game since 2006 was a big difference in Game 1 against the Golden State Warriors with the home side prevailing 126-123. The Warriors might be without Jordan Poole Monday night in Game 2 but are 1.5-point favorites at BetMGM and taking a heavy lean – as is Kings guard De'Aaron Fox on his points prop. The Warriors opened as 1.5-point underdogs but are up to -1.5, with 83% of the bets and 91% of the money on Golden State. On the total of 239.5 points, 54% of the bets and 62% of the money are on the Over. Golden State has a 24-8 record since 2015 and a 30-10 record since 2013 after a playoff loss, the highest winning percentage during each span. The Warriors have won at least one road game in 27 straight playoff series.

There were some interesting plus/minus splits in Game 1. The Warriors were plus-11 in Stephen Curry's 37 minutes, in which he had 30 points and six assists. They were minus-14 in Klay Thompson's 37 minutes, in which he had 21 points and six rebounds. Curry is seven points shy of tying Wilt Chamberlain (3,607) for 19th on the NBA playoffs all-time points scored list

Andrew Wiggins played for the first time since mid-February after dealing with a family issue and had 17 points in 28 minutes off the bench, but missed a late open corner 3-pointer that would have given Golden State the lead. The Kings hit two free throws for the final points of Game 1 after Curry missed a three at the buzzer.

Presumably because Wiggins was back, Jordan Poole played only 22 minutes off the bench in the opener and finished with 17 points. He is listed as questionable tonight with a sprained left ankle.

As for Fox, he was spectacular with 38 points in Game 1, the second-most points by a player ever in his playoff debut behind Luka Doncic's 42 a few years ago. Fox was the No. 2 in the NBA in total points during the fourth quarter and had 15 of the Kings' 35 points in the fourth in Game 1.

The most-wagered player prop tonight is Fox Over 27.5 points at -120, followed by Malik Monk Over 15.5 points at -127, and Curry Over 29.5 points at -120. Monk had 32 off the bench in Game 1 as he and Fox became the second pair of playoff debutants to score 30 points each. The others were Alonzo Mourning and Kendall Gill for the 1993 Hornets.
