Tyreek Hill next team odds: Jets, Dolphins favorites to trade for Chiefs All-Pro receiver; Packers, Eagles, Colts possibilities

Another NFL superstar could be on the move soon: Chiefs All-Pro receiver Tyreek Hill.

We have seen the wildest trade action in NFL history over the past month or so with eight players who have combined for 33 Pro Bowl selections switching teams. It sounds like a ninth and another six Pro Bowl selections will be on the move soon as the Kansas City Chiefs have given arguably the most electric player in the NFL, receiver Tyreek Hill, permission to find a trade partner because Hill wants a massive new extension. SportsLine offers NFL odds on Hill's next team if not the Chiefs. Update: Hill was traded to Miami.

Hill is in the final season of a three-year, $54 million contract but wants Davante Adams money – Adams got a five-year, $141 million extension from the Raiders after being traded there from Green Bay. The Packers were ready to pay Adams that much as well, but he wanted to play for the Silver & Black. Green Bay netted picks No. 22 and 53 overall in this year's draft from Las Vegs for Adams, and Kansas City reportedly is seeking two first-round picks for Hill.

The 28-year-old has been selected to the Pro Bowl in all six seasons of his career – as well as four All-Pro selections -- and had a career-best and franchise-record 111 receptions for 1,239 yards and nine touchdowns last season. He has 479 receptions for 6,630 yards and 56 touchdowns in his career. Hill is one of four players in history to have at least six TD receptions in each of his first six seasons, joining Hall of Famers or will-be Hall of Famers Randy Moss, Larry Fitzgerald and Marvin Harrison. Hill has eight TD catches of at least 50 yards since 2018, tied for most in the NFL (DeSean Jackson).

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that New York Jets and Miami Dolphins already are talking to Kansas City and are finalists. The Jets have the No. 4 and No. 10 overall picks in this year's draft and a glaring need for a No. 1 receiver. They also have a ton of cap space. New York reportedly would be OK giving up the No. 10 pick as part of any package.

Miami has the No. 29 overall pick in this year's draft, a stellar good young receiver in Jaylen Waddle -- after a slow start, Waddle was one of the 10 highest-graded wide receivers in the NFL from Week 6 on -- and not much cap space after just signing former Saints offensive tackle Terron Armstead.

Why wouldn't Green Bay get involved and take advantage of Aaron Rodgers' prime? They have those two draft picks and were ready to pay Adams big money. The Philadelphia Eagles have three first-round picks this year and how good would Hill look next to DeVonta Smith?

Indianapolis just swung a trade for Matt Ryan and the Colts have a need at wideout – they are clearly all-in this year but don't have a 2022 first-round pick and gave up a third for Ryan.

It sounds as if this will come down to the Jets or Dolphins but as we learned with the Deshaun Watson saga, anything can happen at the last minute.

The rest of the AFC West got much better this offseason, but Kansas City remains the +130 favorite at Caesars Sportsbook to win it a seventh straight season. It will be interesting to see how much that number changes without Hill and perhaps with the team signing former Packer Marquez Valdes-Scantling as a replacement. He on his way to Kansas City today for a visit. The Chiefs already signed former Steelers wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Via SportsLine oddsmakers: Which team will Tyreek Hill be playing for Week 1 of the 2022 season (if not Chiefs)?

  • Jets +150
  • Dolphins +300
  • Eagles +500
  • Packers +600
  • Colts +1000
