Today's sports betting picks: Devin Singletary Under 11.5 Rush Attempts among best bets, plus more NFL Kickoff and MLB picks for Thursday
The SportsLine crew shares its expert bets for Thursday, Sept. 8, on The Early Edge podcast

Host Jonathan Coachman is joined by sports betting experts Mike McClure, Larry Hartstein and Allie O'Neill on The Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for the NFL Kickoff Thursday Night Football game and MLB for Thursday, Sept. 8.
It's time for some NFL, and the crew is hyped up, but that's a whole other show and there are other things happening Thursday that you can cash in on.
The first play of the day is an MLB pick from Mike. He is taking St. Louis Over 2.5 Runs in the First Five Innings (-110) in Nationals vs. Cardinals (1:15 p.m. ET). McClure says Washington starter Josiah Gray has fallen drastically since his torrid start, and Mike expects the Cardinals to get to him early.
Allie also has an MLB pick, taking Under 7 on the Game Total (+100) on Marlins vs. Phillies (6:45 p.m. ET). Miami's games have gone under the total in 10 straight games, and the past six games between these teams have gone under, as well. Sandy Alcantara (12-7, 2.36 ERA) starts for the Marlins, and Philadelphia starter Kyle Gibson is 7-3 at home.
The host then offers up his Cash With The Coach pick, and it is an NFL play. Jonathan likes Los Angeles +0.5 in the First Quarter (-110) in the NFL Kickoff Bills vs. Rams matchup (8:20 p.m. ET). "I think it's gonna be a slow start from both teams," Coach says. "A lot of emotion, a lot of hype." Coachman expects the Super Bowl champs to at least tied be at the end of the first quarter.
The Maestro is all over that Rams vs. Bills matchup. He has an NFL prop play, taking Buffalo running back Devin Singletary Under 11.5 Rush Attempts (+100). "The Bills do not have a one-man backfield anymore," Hartstein says. "They drafted a guy in the second round, James Cook. Zack Moss looks healthy, he looks spry. He's gonna get the goal-line work, and maybe some other work, as well." Larry also expects it to be a fast-paced, pass-heavy game, so he loves this play.
Allan Bell also expects to see an aerial show on Thursday Night Football with his AB3. Allan is backing Bills quarterback Josh Allen Over 35.5 Pass Attempts (-140) and Over 37.5 Longest Completion (-120). He also is on Rams wideout Cooper Kupp Over 26.5 Longest Reception (-110).
