Super Bowl 57 Chiefs vs. Eagles props, odds: Quez Watkins, Philadelphia receiver, taking heavy action for Under 1.5 receptions

Bettors at Caesars Sportsbook don't expect Eagles receiver Quez Watkins to have much impact on Super Bowl 57.

It's always interesting to see which random players draw early prop action ahead of a Super Bowl. Wide receiver Quez Watkins is certainly not among the most relevant Philadelphia Eagles offensive players, but he has drawn some of the most betting action so far at Caesars Sportsbook for Super Bowl 57 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The 24-year-old Watkins, a 2020 sixth-round pick out of Southern Miss, was targeted 51 times during the regular season and caught 33 passes for 354 yards and three scores. In the Divisional Round win over the New York Giants, he wasn't targeted once – but the Eagles also didn't have to pass much, as they dominated the New York defense on the ground. Watkins got one target in the NFC Championship Game against San Francisco but didn't haul in the pass.

At Caesars, Watkins opened at over/under 1.5 catches for the Super Bowl with the Over a slight -119 favorite, but heavy Under action now has it at -148. A whopping 99.8% of the money and 97.1% of the tickets on this prop are on the Under. Between Weeks 8 and 18, Watkins got at least two targets in each game that Jalen Hurts started and averaged 2.9 catches per game.

Watkins' best season came in 2021 when he caught 43 passes for 647 yards and a touchdown. When the Eagles hosted the Chiefs in Week 4 that year, he had three catches for 33 yards.

Watkins is a +15000 long shot to win Super Bowl MVP, +2400 to be the game's first TD scorer and +500 for an anytime TD. He last found the end zone on Nov. 27 vs. Green Bay. Watkins' receiving yardage total is set at only 13.5 with the Under a slight favorite. He's topped that number 10 times this season, including the playoffs. His longest reception prop is set at 10.5 with the Under also slightly favored. His one target in the NFC title game was a deep pass from Hurts. Watkins has eight games this year with a longest reception of more than 10.5 yards.
