It should be a very raucous crowd at Yankee Stadium tonight – more so than usual – with Bombers superstar Aaron Judge playing his first home game since May 28 as New York hosts the Tampa Bay Rays in the last time taking the field for both ahead of Tuesday's Trade Deadline. Judge is priced +235 to homer tonight, shorter odds than anyone on the entire DraftKings board.

Yankees fans were going ballistic on social media when Sunday night's lineup in Baltimore was announced because Judge wasn't in it despite looking quite good in his first two game off a long injured list stint. The reigning AL MVP walked three times in Friday's loss and was 3-for-5 with a homer, two RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's win, but Manager Aaron Boone had always said he planned to sit Judge one game of the series to be cautious, and Boone stuck to his guns.

New York got hammered Sunday without him, 9-3. If NYY was going to lose, though, it probably was ideal that wasn't close as at least Boone wasn't tempted to use Judge off the bench. The defeat dropped the Yanks to 55-50 and 3.5 games out of the AL's final wild card spot. New York is +200 to make the playoffs and -240 to miss – it will be a stunner if the team doesn't make a fairly significant trade by Tuesday.

Last year in his record-setting season, Judge's numbers were actually a bit worse at Yankee Stadium than on the road and that's the case this year: slashing .238/.347/.505 with eight homers and 18 RBI in 101 home at-bats compared to .375/.495/.913 on the road with 12 homers and 24 RBI in 80 at-bats. Even missing all that time, Judge's 10 game-winning RBI overall are tied for the fifth-most in the AL and his 20 homers are tied for the sixth-most.

Tampa Bay starts Tyler Glasnow (4-3, 3.36) on the mound tonight. Judge is 2-for-14 career off him with no homers and six strikeouts. The Yankees are 15-1 this season when Judge homers, and 12 of his 20 overall have either tied the game (two) or given the Yankees the lead (10). When both he and Giancarlo Stanton homer in the same regular-season game as they did Saturday, the Bombers are 26-3 all-time.

The Yankees counter with Domingo German (5-7, 4.77 ERA). He is 0-1 with a 2.53 ERA in two starts this year against Tampa Bay. There has been talk German might be traded by Tuesday for outfield help so if he's scratched pre-start, something is up.
