The European Tour rolls on this week with a stop at the 2018 Scottish Open. We simulated this event 10,000 times and came up with a surprising leaderboard.

Our proprietary golf projection computer model, built by predictive data engineer Mike McClure, has been red hot recently. Last week it called 40-1 long shot Kevin Na a top contender at A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier. The result: Na shot 69 or better in all four rounds and won the tournament by six strokes

This same model was all over Patrick Reed's career-defining win at the Masters, calling for him to win it all headed into the weekend. Now it has set its sights on the Scottish Open and revealed an unexpected leaderboard.

One huge surprise the model is calling for the Scottish Open this year: Andy Sullivan finishes in the top five and makes a serious run for the title. He's a strong value at 20-1 you should jump all over.

Another curveball: Rickie Fowler, a top-10 player in the world, gets shut out of the top three. He's not worth the 10-1 odds he's receiving in this event.

The model also says three other underdogs going off with odds of 20-1 or longer make a serious run at the title. Anybody who bets on these long shots could be in for a huge payday.
