NFL Week 9 score predictions: Expert reveals game picks for the 14 NFL matchups

SportsLine expert Eric Cohen reveals his score predictions for all 14 games in Week 9 of the 2025 NFL season

While Kansas City-Buffalo is the headliner of the Week 9 NFL action, a matchup of two 2024 playoff teams, the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans is an intriguing matchup on the undercard. At 3-4, the Texans are 1.5-point favorites over the Broncos with the over/under 39.5 points, as the game has the slimmest spread of NFL Week 9. After a 26-15 win over the 49ers in Week 8, Houston might be poised to make a run towards a Wild Card berth in the AFC though it has a daunting upcoming schedule. The Texans will face Denver, Buffalo, Indianapolis and Kansas City over the next six weeks.

As for Denver, it's won five straight, including the 33-point fourth quarter performance against the Giants and a dominant 20 point win over the Cowboys. With two dangerous AFC West rivals only a game behind, Sunday's win might go a long way before a Thursday night home matchup against the Raiders. In his last five quarters, Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has accounted for eight total touchdowns. But Houston's defense is elite, ranking first in both points allowed and yards allowed, while C.J. Stroud is coming off his best game of the year in an impressive in over the 49ers.

With 14 games on the slate for Week 9 of the 2025 NFL season, this week's results could go a long way when determining several teams' short-and-long term futures. Now SportsLine expert Eric Cohen has made his exact score predictions for all 14 games. Before you lock in any NFL picks, make sure you see what Cohen has to say.

A SportsLine expert and host, Cohen is evaluating the entire Week 9 NFL slate and delivers score predictions and logic for each matchup. After a 9-4 record in Week 8, Cohen is now 79-41-1 (66%) in 2025 following a 190-95 record (69%) in 2024-25 and has been profitable for bettors.

We can tell you that Cohen likes Steelers (+3.5, 50.5) to bounce back off two straight losses to upset the 7-1 Colts.

"Pittsburgh's defense has looked awful in their last two games against Cincinnati and Green Bay, so how could they possibly fare that much better against the league's highest scoring team? Football, especially in the NFL, is a funny game. This Week 9 home contest is a must for the Steelers who need to build up as much ground as they can between themselves and the soon-to-be-charging Ravens. Indianapolis is currently the frontrunner for the AFC's No. 1 seed, but that can't last too much longer, right? It seems like the fairy tell has to come to an end at some point. While Indy is still a playoff team, I will be fading them as a road favorite in Pittsburgh on Sunday. Steelers 26, Colts 24."

In addition, Cohen is picking a high-scoring thriller with 58 total points in Week 9! Nailing this result is key to making profitable Week 9 NFL picks. You ABSOLUTELY NEED to see which game this is before locking in any Week 9 NFL score predictions!
