NFL Week 7 picks: Seahawks cover, and more against the spread best bets from Las Vegas contest expert

We had another 3-2 week with our best bets that really felt like it deserved better. The Seahawks thoroughly outplayed the Bengals but didn't manage to cover as 2.5-point underdogs, while the Eagles barely made my card and then lost outright after suffering a minus-4 turnover margin. The disappointment in that pick only heightened when my other option for the fifth slot covered on Monday night. I'll be going back to at least one of those losers this week, which you can see below.

I've been SportsLine's No. 1 NFL against-the-spread expert over the last six years, going 535-450-30 against the spread to put me up more than 35 units on those picks at SportsLine since 2017. I've also delivered a 56.5% hit rate on my Vegas contest picks over the last eight seasons, which is exactly what you're getting below. And that run includes two finishes in the money, including finishing 18th out of 2,748 entries back in 2017.

If you're a SportsLine subscriber, you can get all my picks, which in a typical NFL week number can near double digits, at the same time as I make them by downloading the app and signing up for alerts on my expert page. That's crucial, as you might not have access to the same lines from the Las Vegas contests, which don't move after they're posted mid-week. This week, I'm going back to the well with the team that deserved far better last week: the Seattle Seahawks -7.5 vs. the Arizona Cardinals.

The Seahawks dominated the Bengals statistically, holding them to four yards per play and basically shutting down the entire offense following its first two drives. Seattle was plagued by an awful fourth-quarter pick that set up a long field goal, and then it couldn't convert on two trips inside the red zone at the end of the game, where a field goal on either would've gotten us the cover. The Seahawks are first in yards per rush allowed on the season, and that's the only area where the Cardinals offense has had success this year, though even that has been a struggle since James Conner went down. With the Seahawks' deep collection of talent in the secondary, I expect them to hold the Arizona offense in check all game, while the Seattle offense should have plenty of success against an overmatched Cardinals unit. I'd make this game Seahawks -9, so I like the value here with Seattle.
