NFL Week 2 best bets: Top five spread picks for premier NFL betting competition from proven expert

While it was smooth sailing for survivor competitors in Week 1, America's premier NFL spread betting competition saw participants take a bath as nine of the top 10 most popular ATS picks were losers. The one losing pick on my 4-1 card came from that group, while my winning picks of the Jets, Browns, Colts and Raiders were the less popular side in each of those contests. The poor showing from the aggregate left just 49 undefeated participants heading into Week 2 our of 5,685 total entrants.

It was a good start for me here at SportsLine as well, including a 12-2 Sunday that included a longshot anytime touchdown winner in Zach Charbonnet and my only losers being another such longshot TD play and Seahawks +2.5. The standalone games have been more hit or miss, including hitting the total and missing the spread in Thursday's Packers win.
