    Fantasy Outlook in Los Angeles:

Fantasy leaguers in seasonal formats will not be too excited about this year's tight end class. Hopkins is one of the better prospects among the incoming group, and has NFL family ties, which can always help a player to adapt quicker to the pros. But Hopkins does not figure to be an impact fantasy player any time soon.

The son of former Oilers and Titans offensive tackle Brad Hopkins, he has the requisite size and natural abilities to possibly help fantasy teams later in his career. Most players at the position do not make a true splash in fantasy leagues early on and his landing spot is not good for opportunity. Injuries forced him to be a prime passing target for the Boilermakers last season, but drops have been a problem for Hopkins.

Hopkins dropped eight passes last season, according to Pro Football Focus. He will have to obviously work on becoming more dependable in the NFL when he gets the ball thrown his way, and he would have been worth dynasty consideration as an eventually respectable fantasy option on another team. He does show potential as a route runner and a willing candidate to make tough grabs.

The breakout of Tyler Higbee late last year and the deep receiving crew in Los Angeles leaves no room for Hopkins to make his presence felt in the passing game in any significant way in the near future. He also has veteran Gerald Everett ahead of him on the depth chart. Hopkins may go undrafted in dynasty leagues and has zero fantasy appeal in most formats.
