The Vikings (0-1) appear to be the latest shining example of the perils of overreacting to a team’s performance in the exhibition season.

From the kickoff of the Hall of Fame game to the end of exhibition season, many football observers became smitten with a Vikings club that looked improved on offense and strong defensively. Minnesota finished 4-1 in the meaningless games.
