    MINNESOTA VIKINGS AT WASHINGTON REDSKINS (+1.5, O/U 42), SUN, 1 P.M. ET

A bye week is always welcome, but Minnesota is surely reminding itself what happened last season. The Vikings entered the break at 5-0, then emerged by losing four in a row outright and missing the playoffs.

Their current win streak stands at four Washington returns home from a dramatic upset victory in Seattle.

This matchup is not much less difficult, with the Vikings ranked 11th offensively and fourth defensively.

    LINE MOVEMENTS, TRENDS

Washington’s comeback win over the Seahawks resonated with the public. The line plunged from 2.5 to 1, then added a half-point to the current figure.

The Vikings tend to follow up one ATS win with another, as its 23-8 record in such circumstances indicates. Yet they have dropped seven of nine road games dating to last year and have covered once in the past seven after byes.

The Redskins’ covering at Seattle broke a four-game ATS slide, and they have scored one ATS win in the last half-dozen home appearances.

    BREAKDOWN

There is a never-ending swirl of news around the Vikes’ QB situation. Case Keenum gets his seventh consecutive start as Teddy Bridgewater is finally declared healthy. Meanwhile, Sam Bradford (knee) was put on injured reserve Thursday.

Keenum’s main passing hook-up has become Adam Thielen. He looks less lately for Stefon Diggs, the team’s biggest threat before an injury sidelined him one week, and Diggs hopes to get the QB’s attention more. TEs trouble the Redskins, so Kyle Rudolph, who has scored in the last three Redskins meetings, could play an oversized role.

The main Vikes’ threat could be RB Jerrick McKinnon, who has rung up 100-plus yards from scrimmage in the past three road games and scored in each. LB Zach Brown, who paces the league with 86 tackles, will set his sights on McKinnon.

A young Redskins line must brace from an assault by the Vikes’ formidable front seven. DE Everson Griffen has been good for at least a sack in every game, though a foot injury could interfere with the streak.

QB Kirk Cousins lacks many playmakers on his side. Yet he was never better than down the stretch in Seattle, taking the Skins 70 yards in 35 seconds on four plays for the winning TD.
