The two hottest teams (technically true) in the AFC East face off as the last-place New York Jets (2-7) carry a two-game winning streak into Thursday Night Football at the division-leading New England Patriots (8-2), who have won seven straight games. Here's hoping it's a good matchup on TNF because there really hasn't been since Week 7 but this may have blowout written all over it with the Pats at -12.5 with a total of 43.5 for the 8:15 ET kick on Prime Video to start Week 11. It will be chilly in Foxborough, but weather shouldn't be too much of a factor.

While the past few TNF games have not been very aesthetically pleasing to watch, NFL fans have been blessed with 38 total games decided by a game-winning score in the final two minutes of regulation or in overtime, the most in NFL history through Week 10. There were three such winners last week in Chicago, Houston and Indianapolis.

The Jets are just playing for pride and to be spoilers at this point under first-year coach Aaron Glenn; a few weeks ago, his seat was easily the hottest of New York City's two NFL teams but now Glenn is on his first winning streak and the Giants fired their coach Monday in Brian Daboll. Things change very quickly in this league.

Obviously, Glenn would prefer to not lose out, but it would only benefit the franchise to perhaps land a QB high in the 2026 draft. Justin Fields clearly isn't the long-term answer. Maybe there's a trade for Kyler Murray this offseason as we discussed in Wednesday's premium newsletter for subscribers. The SportsLine Projection Model forecasts New York for the second-fewest wins at 4.3. The books have the Jets at 3.5 but Over heavily juiced at -190. Tennessee remains a -135 favorite for fewest wins -- but got its QB atop the 2025 draft in Cam Ward -- and New York is next at +475.

New England is tied with Denver for the NFL's longest winning streak and controls its destiny to win the AFC East for the first time since 2019 and could also get the top seed as it battles with AFC South-leading Indianapolis and AFC West-leading Denver. The Patriots don't play either but are currently +210 favorites with the Colts for that first-round bye.

The model forecasts the Pats for the AFC's most wins at 12.1 and with a 78.2% shot at the division; it also ranks the team's remaining schedule, including tonight, as the NFL's second-easiest remaining behind the Saints. The books have New England at 12.5 victories and -260 in the East.
