Fantasy Football 2025: Do Not Draft list includes 30 overvalued players, featuring two first-round picks

Fantasy football draft strategy is if nothing else about being flexible and optimizing your team to your unique draft as it unfolds. For example, while I am not one to draft a top-tier quarterback early, I will certainly do so if one of the top two is available in Round 4 and my tiers at other positions have dried up for players taken in that range. However, there are certain players who I will not have at all in Fantasy this year due to a number of factors, which we'll get into below.

In this space, we'll look at my Do Not Draft list, which features players in each round that I don't believe are worth the standard price and therefore never end up on my teams when doing real or mock drafts. I'll explain why I've avoided these players while suggesting alternatives for your draft strategy.

My list includes two first-round picks, two players ranked No. 1 and plenty of other players I haven't taken in a single draft this year. Some will certainly end up on league-winners who otherwise have good drafts, manage their teams well and -- just like the rest of us -- benefit from some good fortune over the course of the season. But as of now, the cost outweighs the benefit for me.
