Early Week 8 Fantasy Football waiver wire: Bye-mageddon arrives, and here's more than 30 pickups to consider
Here's how you should set bids on the top quarterbacks, running backs, receivers and tight ends worth picking up
The two highest drafted quarterbacks in Fantasy Football this year in most leagues were off last week on bye, and even though Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson (hopefully) are back this week, managers still have plenty to consider with six teams off in Week 8. The Lions, Rams, Seahawks, Cardinals, Jaguars and Raiders combine to leave a lot of talent on Fantasy benches this week, and when combined with injuries affecting those lineups, there's going to be roster crunch in most leagues.
If you're lucky enough to have a bench spot that isn't tied up on an injured or bye-week player and can be used on a potential stash, this could be a great week to sit out the first round of waivers and see which quality players get cut from teams struggling to field a lineup. It's possible you could land someone like Jameson Williams, Trey Benson or even a disappointing Brian Thomas Jr. if you wait and see how the rest of your league manages their rosters for Week 8.
For those who can't afford to wait, we have more than 30 players at quarterback, running back, receiver and tight end to cover in this week's early waiver wire column. Interestingly, there is one standout at each position that could help get teams through a tough bye week, which we'll cover below.
