Early Week 3 Fantasy Football waiver wire: How to replace Joe Burrow, Austin Ekeler, Jayden Reed and more
Here's how you should set bids on more than 30 players worth rostering
The injury monster has started to rear its ugly head in Fantasy Football, with Joe Burrow expected to miss most of the season after suffering a toe injury against the Jaguars on Sunday. More quarterbacks hit the injury report on Monday, with Jayden Daniels in doubt for Sunday while Justin Fields and J.J. McCarthy are in question. We also lost two other Fantasy relevant players on Thursday with Austin Ekeler suffering a torn Achilles and Jayden Reed fracturing his collarbone.
Fantasy managers will be running to the waiver wire to find replacements for Burrow, Ekeler and Reed this week while also looking to strengthen positions that have been a problem due to slow starting players. We're here to help wade through the much and prioritize your waiver wire bidding, including in leagues that use FAB. As usual, we're only looking at players available in at least 40% of CBS leagues.
Our list features a number of receivers who look to be, at worst, bench assets for Fantasy rosters who can even help starting lineups as soon as this week. We also share five running backs and three quarterbacks worth targeting, but the most interesting position may be at tight end, where two potential sleepers have emerged. We'll go over it all below.
