Early Week 2 Fantasy Football waiver wire: How you should set bids on more than 20 players worth rostering
Several potential breakouts emerged in Week 1, but here are the players you should target most
As we do every season, months of preparing and drafting Fantasy Football teams turns into triage once games start being played, and plenty of managers are already looking to make changes to their teams due to injury or disappointing results in Week 1. With players like Xavier Worthy, George Kittle, Jauan Jennings, Drake London and Evan Engram among those picking up injuries in their opening games, managers may need to drop long-term stashes for more immediate help. Others may be looking to capitalize on those long-term options who could be league winners down the road.
We've dug into the players available in at least 40% of CBS Fantasy leagues to come up with 27 potential waiver claims to submit based on your level of need at different positions. Each will have a suggested free-agent bidding percentage of your budget to use as your max potential bid, and we'll also provide notes on each player as to why they should appeal as Fantasy assets.
Our list features a number of receivers who look to be, at worst, bench assets for Fantasy rosters who can even help starting lineups as soon as this week. We also share five running backs and three quarterbacks worth targeting, but the most interesting position may be at tight end, where two potential sleepers have emerged. We'll go over it all below.
