Eagles vs. Giants betting preview: Odds, picks, props, trends, injuries, weather and more for Week 6 Thursday Night Football

A couple of rather unlikely NFL streaks are on the line in Week 6's edition of Thursday Night Football as the Philadelphia Eagles (4-1) visit the New York Giants (1-4) in an NFC East matchup. Note that the clubs turn around and play again Week 8 in the City of Brotherly Love. The Eagles are -7.5 for this one with a total of just 40.5 despite a pretty good weather forecast. 

Almost unbelievably, Philadelphia has won 11 straight primetime games against the Giants, including playoffs. The last such loss came in 2008 when the teams' respective starting quarterbacks were Donovan McNabb and Eli Manning. This will mark the first primetime start for Giants first-round rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, who is 1-1 in his brief career. New York has lost eight straight NFC East games overall (2-6 ATS), the longest divisional active losing skid in the NFL. This will be Dart's first. 

It's a homecoming game of sorts for Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley. The 2024 NFL Offensive Player of the Year was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 draft by the Giants and was NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Big Blue basically let Barkley walk in free agency after a disappointing and injury-shortened 2023 season, and he hit the jackpot in Philly as last season couldn't have gone better. Barkley has been fairly quiet in 2025, having topped 60 rushing yards in just one game. He faced the Giants once in 2024, and Barkley carried 17 times for 176 yards and a TD at MetLife Stadium. 

Note that NFL underdogs went 9-5 outright in Week 5 (four teams were on the bye), the best in any week since Week 6 in 2017 when dogs were also 9-5 outright.
