New York Yankees (-120, 8) at Toronto Blue Jays: 7:07 p.m. ET

Remember when the Yankee bats were in a major rut back in June? That is long gone, as 12 of New York's past 15 games have featured double-digit runs. That includes the final three games of the last Yankees-Blue Jays series, where the teams scored a combined 59 runs in their four-game set. 

Toronto currently has a three-game lead over New York in the American League East standings, as the Yankees will try to cut into the deficit during this three-game series in Toronto. They're sending out Carlos Rodon on Monday night, and the southpaw has compiled a 10-6 record with a 3.08 ERA on the season. He's allowed two earned runs or fewer in three of his past four outings, and this is his first start since tossing a scoreless inning in the All-Star Game.

The Blue Jays are countering with Kevin Gausman, who has posted a 6-7 record to go along with a 4.19 ERA. Like Rodon, Gausman hasn't allowed more than two earned runs in three of his past four starts. The Blue Jays have won seven of Gausman's past 10 starts, though the righty has only picked up the win himself in three of them.

Milwaukee Brewers at Seattle Mariners (-127, 7): 9:40 p.m. ET

There isn't a hotter team in baseball than the Brewers, who have won 10 straight and have vaulted into a first-place tie in the National League Central with the Cubs. The key for Milwaukee's streak has been pitching, as the Brewers have allowed three or fewer runs in seven contests over this red-hot stretch—which includes taking all six games against the Dodgers.

Milwaukee's arms have a tough test to start this week, though, as they'll go up against a Mariners team that has scored at least six runs in seven of their past nine games. Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh is leading the charge, as he's tops in baseball with 38 home runs.

With a total of 7 for this game, there usually have to be two strong starting pitchers on the mound, and that is the case here. Brandon Woodruff (1-0, 2.61 ERA) has only made two starts so far for the Brewers this season, and he's struck out 18 batters in those 10.1 innings. George Kirby hasn't been as sharp this campaign (4-4, 4.50 ERA) compared to finishing his first three seasons with ERAs of 3.53 or lower, but he has allowed one run or fewer in three of his past four outings.
