Best NBA bets today

Oklahoma City Thunder (-5.5, 228.5) at Indiana Pacers: 8:30 p.m. ET

Indiana got throttled by the Thunder in Game 2, but the Pacers are in good shape heading home with the series tied 1-1. If Indiana plans on upsetting the favored Thunder and winning the NBA title, it will need more from star Tyrese Haliburton moving forward. 

OKC's top-ranked defense has given Haliburton problems through two games, holding him to just 31 points with eight turnovers. He also has yet to attempt a free throw in the series. Expect Haliburton to be much more aggressive at home in a pivotal Game 3. 

Rebounding and second-chance points have been a deciding factor in the first two games. Indiana was +17 on the boards in its Game 1 win, but OKC flipped the script in Game 2 with a +8 rebounding edge.

Best MLB bets today

Tampa Bay Rays at Boston Red Sox (-115, 9.5): 7:10 p.m. ET

The Rays and Red Sox split the first two games of the series with Boston winning 3-1 on Tuesday. The loss was only Tampa Bay's third in its last 10 games. The Rays will give the ball to Zack Littell Wednesday. The right-hander is 6-5 on the season and has pitched well recently, allowing two runs or fewer in six of his last eight outings. Tampa Bay has been money with Littell on the mound, winning his last eight starts. 

Boston turns to Walker Buehler. Buehler has been the topic of trade rumors after getting shelled in his last two starts, where he gave up 12 runs in just 7.2 innings of work. The veteran did pitch well in his outing against the Rays back on April 15, allowing two runs over 5.0 innings in a 7-4 Boston win.

New York Yankees (-120, 9) at Kansas City Royals: 7:40 p.m. ET

The Yankees cruised past Kansas City in the first game of the series Tuesday night, 10-2. New York has won six straight over the Royals and nine of 11 overall. 

Clarke Schmidt will try to keep the Yankees' win streak over Kansas City going Wednesday. Schmidt's first start of the season came against the Royals, where he gave up three runs in a 4-3 New York win. Overall this season, Schmidt is 2-3 with a 4.04 ERA. 

The Royals counter with left-hander Kris Bubic. Bubic has a miniscule 1.43 ERA on the season and hasn't allowed more than one run in a start since April 27. In his last six outings, Bubic has given up just three runs over 39.1 innings.
