Best NBA bets today
Oklahoma City Thunder (-6.5, 227.5) at Denver Nuggets: 3:30 p.m. ET
The Nuggets came from behind to stun the Thunder in Game 1, but Oklahoma City responded with a dominant Game 2 showing. Game 3 went down to the wire, with Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon delivering key baskets in Denver's overtime victory. The series remains in the Mile High City for Game 4, as the 2023 champions try to get a 3-1 advantage.Â
The model leans slightly towards Denver against the spread and on the money line but has a stronger play on the total, projecting the Under to hit in 66% of simulations. Games 1 and 2 went well over this number, while Game 3 went Under this line despite going to overtime. The Nuggets are 28-18 to the Over as the home side this season, while the Thunder are 21-21-1 to the Over on the road.
Best NHL bets today
Toronto Maple Leafs at Florida Panthers (-188, 6.5): 7:30 p.m. ET
Florida avoided going down 3-0 to Toronto with an overtime win in Game 3, setting up the opportunity to even this series on Sunday. The defending champions looked rattled in the first two games but found their footing in the second period in Game 3. Despite the Panthers coming into Game 4 with some momentum, the SportsLine projection model is taking the underdogs to have the chance to close things out at home in Game 5. The model has the Maple Leafs winning in 54% of simulations, giving them value at +156 consensus odds on the money line.
Best MLB bets today
St. Louis Cardinals at Washington Nationals (-156, 8.5): 1:35 p.m. ET
The Cardinals have won seven in a row, including the first two games of this series, outscoring the Nationals 14-2 ahead of Sunday's matchup. St. Louis will send Miles Mikolas (1-2, 4.76 ERA) to the mound, while Washington counters with MacKenzie Gore (2-3, 3.33 ERA). The Nationals are favored in the consensus odds despite losing three in a row, and the model is saying bettors should take advantage of that and back the Cardinals.
St. Louis wins in 51% of simulations, bringing value on the money line at +127 (wager $100 to win $127). You can also take the Cardinals as run-line underdogs at +1.5 (-165), as they cover in 72% of simulations.
