The Troy Trojans attempt to record their fourth straight victory in the series when they visit the Appalachian State Mountaineers for a Sun Belt Conference showdown on Thursday. Troy (17-8, 8-4), which had its four-game overall winning streak halted Saturday, posted a 68-53 home victory over Appalachian State on Jan. 8 in their first meeting of the season. The Mountaineers (16-11, 10-4) went on to win eight of their next nine contests but dropped a 58-49 decision against Georgia State on Saturday.

Tipoff at the Holmes Convocation Center in Boone, N.C., is set for 6:30 p.m. ET. The Mountaineers are 3.5-point favorites in the latest Appalachian State vs. Troy odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over-under for total points scored is 128. Before making any Troy vs. Appalachian State picks, you NEED to check out the college basketball predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every Division I college basketball game 10,000 times. Over the past five-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated an impressive profit of over $2,300 for $100 players on its top-rated college basketball picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

The model knows Appalachian State is led offensively by Adrian Delph, who is averaging 17.1 points per contest. The senior guard is third in the conference in scoring and has failed to reach double figures in points only twice in 27 outings this season. The Mountaineers have been strong defensively as they lead the Sun Belt with an average of 62.7 points allowed and have held seven of their last eight opponents under 65.

The model also knows Troy is coming off its first loss since Jan. 27, a 66-62 setback against Little Rock. The Trojans were impressive at the free-throw line in their victory over Appalachian State earlier this season, making a season-high 92.9 percent of their attempts (13-of-14). Junior forward Zay Williams is averaging a team-best seven rebounds and has recorded 16 blocks to raise his career total to 80, leaving him two away from passing Lovell Craig for seventh place on the school's all-time list.

Now, the model has set its sights on Appalachian State vs. Troy. We can tell you it is leaning Over the total, and it also says one side of the spread hits in well over 50 percent of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any college basketball picks.
