2025 NFL Protector of the Year best bet rankings: The top 10 picks plus a few sleepers to consider
We rank our top 10 Protector of the Year bets in the market and highlight three sleepers worth a look
In our series of awards betting content, we've been able to look into voter tendencies and historical results to provide insight into which players are the best bets for MVP, Rookie of the Year and more. This one will be a little different, as the award in question is making its debut this season: Protector of the Year.
Honoring the league's best offensive lineman, the Protector of the Year award is unique in that it will be selected not by a panel of journalists and analysts selected by the Associated Press, and instead by a panel of six former offensive linemen: LeCharles Bentley, Jason Kelce, Shaun O'Hara, Orlando Pace, Will Shields and Andrew Whitworth, the latter of whom pushed to establish the award for the 2025 season along with current Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins.
Both Caesars and FanDuel are taking futures bets on the new award, with Detroit's Penei Sewell the favorite at both sites, followed by Philadelphia's Lane Johnson. With what we know about the criteria considered for the award, we've ranked our best bets and top longshots from the pool of nearly 200 players available to back at either sportsbook.
Let's look at our 10 best betting options for Protector of the Year along with three longshots of +10000 or greater to consider.
