2025 Formula 1 schedule, F1 picks, odds: Belgian Grand Prix projected leaderboard, start time, race prediction from top model
SportsLine's model simulated the Belgian GP 2025 and released its F1 predictions for Max Verstappen, Oscar Piastri and the rest of the grid
The unofficial second half of the 2025 Formula One season gets underway at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on Sunday at 9 a.m. ET. The 2025 Belgian Grand Prix is the 13th of 24 F1 races, and this year's race is the 100th anniversary of the inaugural Belgian GP in 1925. Lando Norris, who claimed the pole position in qualifying, is a +110 favorite, per the latest Belgian Grand Prix 2025 odds, with McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri next on the F1 odds board at +145.
Max Verstappen three-peated at The Spa from 2021-23 and is priced at +600 to utilize in Belgian GP bets, while Lewis Hamilton's last victory came at this race a year ago. The Ferrari driver is at +1000 to win. SportsLine's proven computer projection model simulated the 2025 Belgian GP 10,000 times, creating a surprising leaderboard.
Developed by daily Fantasy pro and SportsLine predictive data engineer Mike McClure, this proprietary Formula 1 prediction model takes into account a slew of factors, including track history and recent results.
The model has been scorching hot when it comes to picking Formula 1 race events dating back to 2021. It nailed both of Charles Leclerc's wins in 2022, and at the 2021 Mexican Grand Prix, the model was strongly backing Verstappen as its top pick. The result: Verstappen dominated the field and ran away with a surprising victory.
It followed that up by calling Verstappen's win at the Rolex Emilia Romagna GP in April and nailed Verstappen to win in Belgium, the Netherlands, Japan, the United States, Mexico and Abu Dhabi. It also called all 19 of Verstappen's wins during the 2023 season and nailed each of his first seven wins in 2024.
It also predicted Lando Norris's 2024 wins in the Netherlands (+200), Singapore (+190) and Abu Dhabi (+250) as well as his wins at the Australian GP (+185), Monaco GP (-150) and British GP (+160) in 2025. It also predicted Piastri's wins in Bahrain (-275) and Saudi Arabia (-105). Anyone who followed the model's lead on those plays has seen HUGE returns!
Now, the model has dialed in on the 2025 Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix and just released its coveted picks and leaderboard projections.
We can tell you the model is backing Pierre Gasly of Alpine to finish top 10 (+185) after correctly predicting the Frenchman to also notch a top-10 for a +175 payout last time out in the British GP. Gasly placed sixth in Britain, which is his best finish of the season, as he overtook Lance Stroll on the final lap.
Gasly won on Spa in his debut there as part of the French F4 Championship in 2011 when he was just 15 years old. He's had moderate success at the circuit since joining Formula One, including five top 10s over his seven starts. He also has top-eight finishes in two of his last three starts on European tracks and is worth the gamble for this plus-money F1 prop.
The model has also made its win prediction and is also targeting one significant underdog to make a charge up the leaderboard! Anyone who backs this driver could hit it BIG. You ABSOLUTELY need to see who he is before locking in any Formula 1 Belgian GP picks of your own.
