The 2024 MLB season is nearly upon us, and it promises to be a fascinating year. Some of the sport's biggest names will be wearing new uniforms this year, with the most notable being Shohei Ohtani, now a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers. L.A. pushed its chips in this winter, also signing ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto out of Japan and trading for Tyler Glasnow from Tampa Bay. On offense, they added Teoscar Hernandez to the lineup. Always a force in the sport, the Dodgers look poised to take the National League by storm. 

But the Dodgers weren't the only ones making moves. The Yankees traded for young slugger Juan Soto, pairing him with Aaron Judge to form arguably the game's deadliest one-two offensive punch, and signed starter Marcus Stroman. The Baltimore Orioles acquired Corbin Burnes from Milwaukee, giving the Birds the true ace last year's shocking playoff run lacked. And the Dodgers' longtime rivals, the San Francisco Giants, added a trio of bats -- Matt Chapman, Jorge Soler and Korean star Jung Hoo Lee. 

With all of these moves and a swath of talented prospects ready to reach the big leagues, Major League Baseball should be as exciting as ever.
