2023 NHL Frozen Frenzy odds, picks: Hockey expert predictions for Tuesday's full 16-game staggered schedule

The National Hockey League has scheduled one of the most unique regular-season nights in its history for Tuesday as all 32 teams will be in action with staggered start times in each game, so it it's possible to watch at least a few minutes of every one. The puck first drops for Toronto at Washington at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN, and the latest-starting game is Philadelphia at defending Stanley Cup champion Vegas at 11 p.m. (also on ESPN). Also on the network is Boston at Chicago at 8:30 p.m., which will showcase Blackhawks rookie Connor Bedard. 

Beginning at 6:30, when Anaheim plays at Columbus, 11 straight games will be played starting 15 minutes apart, the last of that stretch being Vancouver at Nashville at 9:15 p.m. ET.  In addition to the triple-header on ESPN, the network will have whip-around coverage from 7-8 p.m. on ESPN+, and then continue on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. hosted by John Buccigross and Kevin Weekes. That will essentially serve as the hockey version of NFL RedZone. 

"You've got 16 games, so everybody is playing, and I want this to be an all-you-can-eat buffet of hockey for hockey fans, hockey lovers, hockey people in the business, the casual fan or a new fan," Weekes told NHL.com. "Literally a buffet with everything available."
