The 2023 Formula 1 season will continue on Sunday with the 2023 Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos in Sao Paulo. The green flag is scheduled to drop at 12 p.m. ET, and this will be the fifth of six F1 races in the Americas this year. Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing has already clinched his third consecutive drivers' championship, but George Russell enters the 2023 Sao Paulo GP as the defending race winner.

Verstappen is the -300 favorite (risk $300 to win $100) in the 2023 Brazilian Grand Prix odds after having won 25 of the last 30 races held in Formula 1. Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton is a three-time winner of this event and is at +700. Lando Norris of McLaren is at +1100, while other contenders include Sergio Perez (+1800), Russell (+2000), Charles Leclerq (+2800) and Oscar Piastri (+3300). Every other racers is getting triple-digit odds, with Fernando Alonso (+12500) next on the board.

SportsLine's proven computer projection model simulated the Brazilian GP 2023 10,000 times and come up with a surprising leaderboard.

Developed by daily Fantasy pro and SportsLine predictive data engineer Mike McClure, this proprietary Formula 1 prediction model takes into account a slew of factors including track history and recent results.

The model has been scorching hot when it comes to picking Formula 1 race events dating back to 2021. It nailed both of Charles Leclerc's wins in 2022, and at the 2021 Mexican Grand Prix, the model was strongly backing Verstappen as its top pick. The result: Verstappen dominated the field and ran away with a surprising victory.

It followed that up by calling Verstappen's win at the Rolex Emilia Romagna GP in April and nailed Verstappen to win in Belgium, the Netherlands, Japan, the United States, Mexico and Abu Dhabi. It has also called all 16 of Verstappen's wins to start the 2023 seasonAnyone who followed the model's lead on those plays has seen HUGE returns!

Interlagos, also known as Autódromo José Carlos Pace, opened in 1940 and first hosted the Brazilian GP in 1972. The track consists of 15 turns over 2.677 miles, and the 2023 Sao Paulo Grand Prix will be the 51st edition of the race. Lewis Hamilton's three wins are the most amongst any active driver, while Frenchman Alain Prost won a record six times. McLaren has a team-record of 12 wins, although Mercedes has won the last two with Hamilton (2021) and George Russell (2022).

Now, the model has dialed in on the 2023 Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix and just released its coveted picks and leaderboard projections.

We can tell you the model is fading Perez even though he's the fourth-favorite (+1800) and has two victories this year. Perez ranks second in the F1 stanndings but the gap between him and third-place Lewis Hamilton is shrinking. The Red Bull driver has no podiums over his last five races, two of which have ended with him retiring. Perez also is still searching for success in Brazil, as he's raced Interlagos 11 times in Formula One but has yet to reach a podium.

The model is also targeting one driver getting 25-1 or better in the Brazilian Grand Prix odds to make a serious charge up the leaderboard! Anyone who backs this driver could hit it BIG. You ABSOLUTELY need to see who he is before locking in any Formula 1 Sao Paulo GP picks of your own.

So who wins the 2023 Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix? And which SERIOUS long shot might be in contention? ... Join SportsLine right now to see the full projected F1 Brazilian GP leaderboard, all from the model that has nailed its racing picks the last two years, and find out!
