The Tampa Bay Lightning will try to stay alive for their shot at a third straight title Sunday when they host the Colorado Avalanche in Game 6 of the 2022 Stanley Cup Final. Tampa Bay pulled off a 3-2 victory on Friday night on an Ondrej Palat goal after Colrado had tied it twice.

Puck drop at Amalie Arena in Tampa is set for 8 p.m. ET. Colorado is a slight -115 favorite (risk $115 to win $100) on the money line in the latest Avalanche vs. Lightning odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Tampa Bay is a -105 underdog, and the over/under for total goals scored is set at six (see the latest lines for every game on our NHL odds page).

Before making any Lightning vs. Avalanche picks, you NEED to see the latest NHL predictions from the SportsLine hockey insider Matt Severance.

Severance is a well-connected writer and handicapper who has worked in the industry since 2005. He's SportsLine's top NHL handicapper, going 137-73-4 in his last 214 NHL picks and returning almost $3,000 for $100 players. Anyone who has followed him is WAY UP.

Severance knows Norris Trophy winner Cale Makar has been making huge plays in posting seven points in the series. He has a franchise-record 21 assists in the playoffs, four of those in the past three games. Mikko Rantanen has set up 20 goals, and Nathan MacKinnon (12 goals) and Gabriel Landeskog (11 goals, plus-14) also are playing at a high level. Makar scored his eighth goal Friday, and Valeri Nichushkin got his ninth.

The expert also knows Tampa Bay has shown resilience througout these playoffs, facing elimation twice against Toronto before advancing in seven games. The Lighnting also were down 2-0 to the Rangers in the last round before reeling off four straight wins. Nikita Kucherov (team-high 27 points) and Ondrej Palat (16 career go-ahead playoff goals) scored Friday night, and Viktor Hedman for his fourth assist of the series.

Now, Severance has set his sights on Avalanche vs. Lightning, and we can tell you he's leaning Under on the total. He's also found a critical X-factor that has him jumping all over one side of the money line! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any NHL picks of your own.
