The 2022 Formula 1 schedule continues on Sunday, April 10 with the Heineken Australian Grand Prix at the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit. The race starts at 12:55 a.m. ET. The Australian GP is back after a two-year hiatus, with Valtteri Bottas entering as the defending champion after winning the race in 2019. Charles Leclerc, who won the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix on F1 opening weekend, and Max Verstappen, who won the 2022 Saudi Arabian GP, are the co-betting favorites at -400 (risk $400 to win $100) in the latest F1 Australia Grand Prix odds from Caesars Sportsbook. They are followed by Sergio Perez (-150). SportsLine's proven computer projection model has simulated the Heineken Australian Grand Prix 2022 10,000 times and came up with a surprising leaderboard.

Developed by daily Fantasy pro and SportsLine predictive data engineer Mike McClure, this proprietary Formula 1 prediction model takes into account a slew of factors including track history and recent results.

The model has been scorching hot when it comes to picking Formula 1 race events. At the 2021 Mexican Grand Prix, the model was strongly backing Max Verstappen as its top pick. The result: Verstappen dominated the field and ran away with a victory. Then, at the 2021 Qatar Grand Prix, McClure's model was all over Lewis Hamilton, who completely crushed his competition en route to another victory for the 37-year-old F1 legend. Anyone who followed the model's lead on those plays has seen HUGE returns!

Now, the model has dialed in on the 2022 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix and just released its coveted picks and leaderboard projections.

We can tell you the model doesn't like Valtteri Bottas's chances at defending his title this week on the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit. In fact, the model is calling for Bottas to finish outside of the top-five. McClure strongly advises against betting on Bottas, despite his past success in Australia.

The model is also targeting another driver with F1 Australian Grand Prix odds of 5-2 to make a serious run at the checkered flag! Anyone who backs this driver could hit it BIG. You ABSOLUTELY need to see who he is before locking in any Formula 1 Australian GP picks of your own.

So who wins the 2021 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix? And which long shot is a MUST-BACK? ... Join SportsLine right now to see the full projected F1 Australian GP leaderboard, all from the model that has nailed its racing picks all year, and find out!
