The PGA Tour west coast swing continues with the 2022 Farmers Insurance Open, which tees off on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, Calif., and will conclude on Saturday, Jan. 29 to avoid a scheduling conflict with the NFL conference championship games. The tournament purse is $8.4 million, with $1.512 million going to the winner. The 2022 Farmers Insurance Open field is loaded, with world No. 1 Jon Rahm the 7-1 betting favorite at Caesars Sportsbook. Rahm is followed closely by Justin Thomas (12-1), Xander Schauffele (16-1), Hideki Matsuyama (18-1), Dustin Johnson (18-1), and Bryson DeChambeau (18-1). Defending champion Patrick Reed will be in the field, and is listed at 40-1 to defend his title.
Before locking in your 2022 Farmers Open one and done picks, you NEED to see what Daily Fantasy Sports pro Mike McClure has to say.
The One and Done format is growing in popularity. It has several noticeable similarities to NFL Survivor pools, with the main difference being entries are not eliminated with a bad week. Players pick one golfer per week (often with a backup in case of a last minute withdrawal) and earn points based on their selected golfer's prize money for that tournament. Golfers can only be used once per season, and the point format makes nailing majors and big money tournaments critical.
McClure is a DFS legend with nearly $2 million in career winnings, and he's been RED-HOT on his PGA picks dating back to the PGA Tour restart in June of 2020. McClure uses his proprietary simulation model to analyze the field and crush his golf picks.
Last week at The American Express, McClure was all over Patrick Cantlay and Sungjae Im. The result: Cantlay finished in 9th, taking home $222,300; and Im finished T-11, taking home $184,300.
Two weeks ago at the Sony Open, McClure's model listed Hideki Matsuyama among the top contenders. The reigning Masters champion went out and overcame a five-stroke deficit on the back nine of the final round to notch his eighth career PGA Tour victory.
Three weeks ago at the Sentry Tournament of Champions, McClure included Jon Rahm and Daniel Berger among his top PGA picks. The result: Rahm came in second with a score of 33-under par, while Berger secured a top-five finish with a score of 25-under par. Anybody that included them in their one and done picks is in great shape after one week.
At the 2021 World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba in November, the model was all over Viktor Hovland (18-1) winning his third PGA Tour title. At the 2021 Open Championship, McClure's best bets included Collin Morikawa winning outright even though he was listed as a massive 40-1 long shot. In addition, McClure's model was all over Jon Rahm's (10-1) first career major championship victory at the 2021 U.S. Open.
McClure's model is also up nearly $10,000 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament. Anyone who has followed it has seen MASSIVE returns!
Now, McClure has set his sights on the 2022 American Express and just revealed his optimal One and Done picks. They are a must-see for any player looking for an edge in their One and Done pool.
We can tell you that one of McClure's favorite Farmers Open One and Done picks is Daniel Berger, who is currently listed at 20-1 to win the tournament at Caesars. Berger, ranked No. 20 in the Official World Golf Rankings, has the skillset to succeed in Torrey Pines and will likely be an under-the-radar One and Done pick in the loaded Farmers Insurance Open field this week.
McClure is also targeting another One and Done sleeper who's listed at 30-1 and is primed to blow up this week, giving you a HUGE return! Picks like these could be the difference between winning your One and Done pool or going home with nothing. You ABSOLUTELY need to see who it is before locking in your pick.
