2021 NFL win totals, odds: Falcons, Saints, Bills, Colts, Steelers, Texans season wagers unresolved entering Week 18
Six teams have yet to have their season win totals resolved at Caesars Sportsbook.
Playoff spots or seeding aren't the only things on the line for the Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts, Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints entering Week 18 as all their Over/Under season win total results at Caesars Sportsbook will be determined by what they do Sunday. Ditto the Atlanta Falcons and Houston Texans, who have been eliminated from playoff contention. All other teams have had their win totals resolved at the book.Â
The Falcons (7-9) and Saints (8-8) play each other Sunday in Atlanta with New Orleans as a 4.5-point favorite. The Saints need a victory and a 49ers loss at the Los Angeles Rams – very possible – to earn the NFC's final wild-card spot. Another storyline in that game: Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts has 1,018 receiving yards and needs 59 to break the rookie record for that position set by Hall of Famer Mike Ditka (1,076) in 1961.
Atlanta was set at 7.5 victories at Caesars and New Orleans 9, so obviously the best Saints Over backers can hope for is a push. The team's streak of three straight seasons going Over will end.
Pittsburgh (8-7-1) needs a win in Baltimore on Sunday and unlikely help to earn an AFC wild-card spot, so it's probably Ben Roethlisberger's final game. The team has guaranteed a 15th straight non-losing season under Mike Tomlin, which is amazing, but Over bettors need a victory as Pittsburgh was set at 8.5 wins. That tie vs. Detroit will end up huge either way.
Indianapolis (9-7) will be an AFC wild-card team with a victory in Jacksonville, which seems quite probable. The Colts' win total moved quite a bit in August with the uncertain status of QB Carson Wentz, but it closed at 10 so Over and Under bettors are likely are looking at a push.
Finally, Buffalo (10-6) will win the AFC East with a victory over the visiting Jets on Sunday, and it's probably fair to say that happens. Thus, all bettors are likely looking at a push as the Bills were set at 11 victories. (Note: alternate win totals are always available and avoiding pushes as in Buffalo's case by adding or subtracting .5 wins on any bet is advisable.)Â
The lowest win total at Caesars belonged to Houston at 4, and the Texans are 4-12 entering Sunday's home game and likely loss vs. Tennessee, which would earn the AFC's top seed with a victory.
Kansas City had the highest win total at 12.5 and will land Under as the Chiefs are 11-5.
