Nobody expects to see Michigan in the NIT. Yet that’s the scenario for Wolverines fans as they fell short in conference play this season. They’ll face a Toledo team that’s won the MAC regular season three years in row, but has fallen in the conference tournament each season. Last year the disappointment carried over to the NIT where Dayton trounced the Rockets by 19 points. Tail the Wolverines

Poor Toledo. The Rockets had won 17 MAC games in-a-row before losing to Kent State decisively in the conference tournament championship game. But it's likely they'll be ultra-motivated to beat a big name Power 5 team on the road.
